The 2020 Annual Meeting scheduled for May 6-9 in Starkville, MS, has been cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns.

Dear USGA Member,

As you are aware, there is great concern about the spread of COVID-19. We have monitored the situation closely through the World Health Organization (WHO), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Mississippi State University. Based on information available at this time, we have concluded that, for everyone’s safety, it is prudent to cancel the May 6-9, 2020 Ulysses S. Grant Association Annual Meeting taking place in Mississippi State University.

This was a difficult decision and we are saddened by the cancellation of the 2020 USGA meeting, but we think that it is the best course of action at this time. Travel to the meeting would put our members and people at an unnecessary risk. We will update everyone about the next meeting, which will be at MSU as soon as we can.

The Ulysses S. Grant Association will issue registration refunds to the people who have already registered. Important: All other refunds related to travel and lodging for the USGA meeting will need to be negotiated with the appropriate agency. For a USGA registration refund or to donate your fee to the USGA, please contact Eddie Rangel at 662-325-4552 or at erangel@library.msstate.edu.

If you have symptoms of the disease (cough, fever, shortness of breath), and think you may be at risk of carrying COVID-19, please follow these CDC guidelines and seek medical attention.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate this challenging situation.
